Casinos & gaming

Casino and gaming venue pest control

Nightshift already provides a discreet around-the-clock service to venues including casinos. It is a sector that suits us for an obvious reason: a casino's quiet hours are the middle of the night, and so are ours.

The environment is unusual. Continuous operation, high-value hospitality, dense soft furnishing and a floor that is under camera at all times, where anything unusual is noticed immediately by staff and guests alike.

How we work this environment

We work the hours the venue actually keeps, including after close. Out-of-hours is our standard shift, and arrivals are low-profile and unmarked.

The risk profile

What makes this environment different.

There is barely a closed hour

Late licensing means the building is occupied when most contractors work and cleaned when most contractors sleep, leaving a very narrow genuine window for treatment.

Hospitality runs alongside gaming

Kitchens, bars and food service operate within the same envelope as the gaming floor, so food-related pest pressure sits directly against high-value public space.

Soft furnishing and dense fit-out

Carpeting, upholstered seating and fixed banquettes provide harbourage that is difficult to inspect and difficult to treat without disruption to the floor.

Discretion is absolute

Members and high-value guests will not tolerate visible remedial work, and reputation in this sector travels through a small, well-connected community rather than through public reviews.

Where we look first

The places it actually starts.

  • Kitchens, bars, cellars and beverage stores
  • Gaming floor carpeting, banquettes and fixed seating
  • Back of house corridors, staff areas and lockers
  • Waste rooms and delivery routes
  • Plant rooms, risers and ceiling voids
  • Cash handling and count rooms

Compliance & evidence

Food areas are covered to satisfy the Food Safety Act 1990 and the FSA Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, with same-day written reports for the compliance file. Technicians are DBS checked before deployment, which matters in an environment with cash handling and controlled areas.

Can you work after we close rather than during service?

Yes. Late and overnight working is our normal pattern rather than a special arrangement, so treatment happens once the floor is clear.

Are your technicians vetted for controlled areas?

All technicians are DBS checked before deployment, and the team holds rigorous security clearance for government and airside environments where required.

How discreet is the service?

Entirely. Low-profile arrivals, plain uniforms and nothing that identifies why we are there, from first contact to final report.
